CELEBRATING OUR FIRST 120 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL TOOLS JULY 3rd, 2006

Back in 1886 Bahco AB began manufacturing saws under the brand "fisk och krok" ("Fish and Hook"). In 1888 the pipe wrench was invented and in 1892 the adjustable wrench, by one of the company's founders, J.P. Johansson. Today the company produces a wide range of hand-held tools such as handsaws, adjustable wrenches, combination spanners, socket spanners, screwdrivers, cutters, files, bandsaws blades, holesaws, hacksaw blades, secateurs and pruning tools. Professional craftsmen all over the world use our tools.

Bahco plans to move production from Enköping, Sweden

The Board of Bahco AB has today decided to initiate negotiations with the local unions regarding plans to move the production of hand tools from Enköping to other production units within the SNA Europe Group. Bahco in Sweden has nearly 1,000 employees whereof approximately 275 persons out of totally 360 co-workers in Enköping will be affected.

According to the plans, the production will gradually be moved starting in the autumn of 2006 and to be completed by the end of 2007. The employees in Enköping have today been informed about the plans.
